OKcash Completes Successful Transition to OK Multichain on BASE: A New Era for OK Holders!

We are thrilled to announce the official and successful completion of the OKcash swap from its native chain to the OK Multichain environment, now live on the BASE network! This marks a monumental milestone in OK’s journey toward full multichain interoperability, and it sets the stage for even greater advancements in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

The Journey from Native Chain to Multichain

The OKcash swap started in June and was a critical part of our plan to evolve OK into a fully decentralized, multichain asset. Over the last several months, the OK community has worked diligently to make this transition smooth and secure. Today, we are excited to share that the swap is 100% complete, with the final OK native coins being successfully swapped to the OK Multichain system (OK native is now non-supported, evolved to OK multichain).

The non-claimed/swapped tokens are now part of the OK DAO Treasury for the OK project development and the upcoming initiatives, establishing for the first time a Budget for development in the hands of all the OK holders (via OK DAO). Which will further incentivize the participation of the community and the integration of new services into the OK multichain ecosystem. The migration was finalized on OK Native Block #4,391,869 (On October 21st, 2024, at 21:33 Hrs UTC), marking the historic moment when OK transitioned fully to a new multichain era. As of today, [89,674,931 OK] from the OKcash Native Chain has been seamlessly swapped/ported over to the OK Multichain environment, ensuring security, flexibility, and accessibility for all OK holders.

This swap is not just a technical achievement; it signifies OKcash’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in crypto by embracing multichain capabilities and reaching a broader audience.

What Does This Mean for OK Holders?

With the completion of the swap, all OK holders are now fully transitioned into the OK Multichain ecosystem, supported by BASE and the additional six blockchains — Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Fantom.
